To mark the opening of their newest stadium wing, the Green Bay Packers have unveiled a giant, chrome replica of the Vince Lombardi Trophy: the iconic award given to the winning team of the Super Bowl.
It’s far too large to be held by any one player, but it’s indeed striking and provides fans with a new perspective of the trophy.
“Fans can see it from the outside year round day or night (it’s lit up after dark) through the windows on the east side of the stadium, but those attending Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles will be the first to see it up close.”
Are you hoping to see this giant replica in person? What do you think of taking a trophy and boosting it up to such a scale?
